FAQs
THE THINGS YOU’RE PROBABLY WONDERING
HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL?
1
I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne and photograph weddings throughout the North East, across the UK and beyond.
Travel is very much part of what I do, so if you're planning your wedding somewhere further afield, I'd love to hear about it.
HOW MANY HOURS OF PHOTOGRAPHY DO WE NEED?
2
That depends entirely on your plans.
I'll help you work out how much coverage makes sense for your day rather than simply selling you a number of hours.
Absolutely.
You don't need to know how to pose, that's my job.
I'll give you gentle direction when you need it and create enough movement and space that your portraits feel natural rather than stiff or overly posed.
WE'RE AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. CAN YOU HELP?
3
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH CANDID MOMENTS?
4
Absolutely, your gallery will be 90% candid and documentary photography is at the heart of what I do, but I also believe in creating beautiful, intentional portraits of the two of you and the people who matter most.
It's the combination that makes a wedding gallery unique and totally personalised in my approach.
Analogue rolls are trending and I couldn’t be happier. I am beginning to introduce Film rolls as an add on to your wedding photography package, as well as polaroid pouches and camcorder content snippets. Ask about this when you enquire.
5
DO YOU SHOOT FILM?
11
HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS WILL WE RECEIVE?
6
CAN WE CHAT BEFORE OUR WEDDING DATE?
Every wedding is different, and I don't believe in promising an arbitrary number just to make a package sound bigger.
I'll deliver a carefully curated gallery containing all the photographs that genuinely deserve to be there, but in most cases there will be a minimum of 500 images for a full day, 250 for a half day.
DO YOU WORK WITH OTHER SUPPLIERS?
7
Absolutely.
I love working alongside planners, florists, content makers, videographers and other creatives who care about the details and experience of a wedding day. I have a list of recommended suppliers that I have worked with and are my wedding industry family. Please ask if you would like and suggestions.
WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOGRAPHS?
8
Your final gallery will be carefully edited and curated after your wedding. I'll always give you a clear timeframe when you book depending on where I am in my wedding season will impact your delivery but my aim is to get your gallery back to you within 12 weeks.
CAN WE BOOK A COUPLE SHOOT?
9
I fully recommend getting booked in for a couple shoot. I take limited bookings over winter and spring so I have a little more flexibility in the ‘off season’ months for shoots but can accommodate depending on my availability all year round. I am based in the North East of England but can travel to your location for additional costs. These sessions are such a beautiful time to shred any nerves and to hang out and get to know each other before your big day. It also means you have some heartfelt images to share in the lead up!
WHAT IS YOUR WORKING PROCESS LIKE ACROSS OUR DAY?
10
I have been photographing weddings for nearly 10 years, so I have wealth of experience and knowledge around all things weddings, working with the weather in different environments, I’ve met a huge number of people in that time and I have become incredibly skilled in reading a room, knowing when to step in and how to adapt to many different circumstances. Myself and your second shooter* will spend the time with you documenting your day in a mix of documentary style or gently directed across particular times of your day. You will see from my testimonials how compassionate and engaged I am when I work. The love I have for my job will be felt by you across the day and there to be seen in your gallery.
*second shooters can be added on to your package.
I will get in touch around a month before your wedding to organise a Zoom consultation (on a midweek date), for around 2 weeks prior to your date. You should have most of your planning journey complete by then. If we haven’t already met on a couple shoot this a great time to connect and get a feel for each others energy and I can see how you both gel together before your big day. Speaking before your wedding day can give us a chance to go over your schedule and I can work with you to pencil any plans for photography across the day and to give advise on anything you may have questions about.
